Amsterdam, The Netherlands
Sander Erdmann is a visual artist based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Sander’s work is best described as a fusion of photography and graphic design.
Through his education in both graphic design and photography, Sander has shaped a style which sets him apart from photography in a traditional sense. With a focus on geometry and light, Sander aims to combine the contrast between photographic reality and surrealism. Rather than using a camera to capture a moment in time, he uses the camera as a tool to build his own reality.
Sander is now founder of his own design company, SF Design, as well as a partner in Studio Zakmes a design collaboration specialized in corporate identity and promotional strategies.

Sander Erdmann designs geometric camera constructions inspired by the evolution of animal eyes. By combining photography techniques and solutions of nature he builds a new mechanical visual extension. In this study of perception and registration he strives to create a new fragmented vision.
